We are looking for an HR Advisor - Payroll Specialist to support HR and Payroll functions for the business unit operation reporting directly to the Regional HR Manager. Day shift for the Paris, Ontario location.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. This range is provided to ensure clarity and promote equitable access to employment opportunities.

Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:

  • Provide HR guidance and administrative support to all levels of the Paris team.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: post jobs, screen candidates, conduct interviews, complete background checks, and prepare employment offers.
  • Lead onboarding for new hires, ensuring smooth integration and compliance with policies.
  • Coach managers on HR best practices, employee relations, and policy interpretation.
  • Administer employee status changes, benefits, leaves, and immigration documentation.
  • Support performance management, employee engagement initiatives, and HR reporting.
  • Build trust and strong relationships by connecting with employees on the production floor.
  • Administer and process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
  • Maintain payroll records, review timecards, and validate pay, overtime, and deductions.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare payroll reports, support audits, year-end filings (T4s), and legislative requirements.

Qualifications

When your expertise drives us:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management with 2–3 years’ HR advisory experience.

  • Payroll processing experience for medium-sized teams; familiarity with Kronos and PeopleSoft preferred.

  • Experience in manufacturing and handling immigration documentation is a plus.

  • Working towards CHRP designation is an asset.

  • Strong HRIS and Microsoft Office skills.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining discretion and professionalism.
