Position Summary
- Receives, inspects, and stores all materials coming into facility.
- Overseas the physical inventory locations of finished goods, WIP & consumable materials.
- Assists with physical cycle counts.
- Ensures first in first out (FIFO) inventory practice of materials is in place.
- Assembles, counts, and prepares all shipments & documentation for outbound freight.
- Schedules all Outbound loads with a 3PL System.
- Loads and unloads trailers.
- Weighs and verifies scrap materials, coordinates, assembles scrap loads for the facility.
- Segregates and verifies reprocessing and straight Repro sales.
- Must follow safety guidelines, wear designated personal protective equipment and meet OSHA safety requirements.
- Supports and adheres to all TC TRANSCONTINENTAL’S procedures and protocols.
- Receives and inspects external packaging for damage of all incoming and outbound product.
- Receives and inspects incoming components and segregates shipments from other products.
- Performs counts and inspects product to specification provided for the item.
- Notifies and consults with Quality Technicians if required by specification.
- Reports any discrepancies to the Production Manager, Customer Service Supervisor, Quality Lead and/or Purchasing Manager where required.
- Assist with Monthly cycle counts of both warehouses.
- Handles entries into Shipping log, including freight costs and notes relating to transaction out of the normal lead time such as expedites.
- Forwards packing lists and shipping paperwork to the Customer Service Department.
- Prepares product for shipment as required per customer specification or special instructions.
- Inspects trailers for safe loading as well as inspects trailers to ensure specifications relating to AIB requirements, health & food procedures are being maintained.
- Inspects external packaging for damage.
- Maintains a count of product as it is loaded on truck. Completes the bill of lading for shipment and obtains the required signature from the carrier. Forwards all paperwork to the Customer Service Department.
- Receives and processes returned goods shipments, segregates all Returned Goods in the designated hold area with proper identification to the RMA number. Forwards all paperwork to the Customer Service Department and/or Quality.
- Maintains an orderly warehouse, ensures that all product or components in his/her control are properly identified and stored in designated locations.
- Performs all functions in accordance with all company safety policies and directives.
- Performs other duties as necessary or as requested by management.
- Must be able to work unsupervised.
What you have to offer
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, with previous relevant experience.
- Must be forklift certified and clamp certified.
- Minimum two (2) years of forklift driving experience.
Strong capability to work within the organization and harmoniously within a team environment is required.
Fast paced environment must be able to handle stress and deal with issues in a timely fashion.
Sound interpretation and analysis skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Good understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
Good understanding of shipping and receiving processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Must be extremely self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision.
- While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is consistently standing, walking, climbing, stooping, or kneeling, reaching with arms and hands.
- The manufacturing work environment is loud, with varying temperatures, the production floor is not temperature controlled.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment when in manufacturing and warehouse areas.
- Required to lift up to 50 lbs. but also encouraged to team lift, as necessary.
The compensation and reference to benefits for this role is listed on this posting in compliance with applicable law. The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.
The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hour, DOE
