Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:00am to 4:30pm)
Responsibilities
When your actions lead to success:
- Receive production orders and job assignments from the supervisor, prioritizing workflow for timely completion.
- Review job instructions on dockets and verify that all production processes were correctly followed at each stage.
- Conduct thorough quality inspections of finished products, cross-referencing against approved samples and blueprints to ensure adherence to customer specifications.
- Package products according to detailed packaging instructions and produce accurate labels for each order. Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure all equipment is properly cared for at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all company health and safety protocols and workplace procedures.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on department equipment as needed.
- Support the broader team with additional duties as directed by management.
Qualifications
When your expertise drives us:
- Education:
– High school diploma or GED equivalent required
– Training or coursework in Graphic Arts is a strong asset - Experience:
– Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
– Background in the printing or signage industry is an asset
– Previous quality control or inspection experience considered - Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Solid numeracy skills across units of measure
– Strong problem-solving in routine production situations - Equipment:
– Heat sealer operation
– Exacto / precision cutting tools
– Label printing systems
