We are looking for a Prepress Technician to process files and impositions for final output to Plates, creating proofs, plate breakdowns and output plates as required. 

Shift Schedule: Night shift

Wednesday-Wednesday starting at 6:00pm-6:00am.

7 days on, 7 days off.
Overtime

This position is currently open and reflects a replacement position due to an internal transfer, promotion, or departure.

The range for this position is $38 to $42 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity. This range is provided to ensure clarity and promote equitable access to employment opportunities.

Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:

  • Preflight incoming files to ensure they meet production and print specifications
  • Identify and communicate any file or artwork issues to clients and/or Customer Service Representatives (CSR)
  • Set up jobs in Prinergy according to workflow requirements
  • Create press layouts following defined production specifications
  • Identify zone changes and color breaks to support accurate print output
  • Output proofs as required for internal review or client approval
  • Output printing plates as required for production
  • Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure production readiness
  • Maintain a healthy and safe work environment and adhere to all safety requirements

Qualifications

When your expertise drives us:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a prepress or print production environment
  • Strong knowledge of printing presses and finishing equipment (including folders)
  • Experience with Prinergy workflow, Preps software,
  • Willingness to learn new workflows (Pecom and EaE)
  • Solid understanding of prepress processes and production requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable lifting plates up to 30lbs
